How the Fuel Checker works |
Installing the Fuel CheckerThe most effective fixing point for the Fuel Checker is on the inside of the vehicle fuel flap. If your vehicle is one of the small number without a fuel flap, or the Fuel Checker does not fit inside the fuel flap, the Fuel Checker can be used independently as a key fob. 1. Locate a fixing area on the inside of the fuel flap so that the flap can be closed without obstruction. 2. Clean the Fuel Checker fixing area with the ‘wipe’ provided. 3. Peel off the white protective strip from the adhesive pad on the back of the Fuel Checker. 4. Place Fuel Checker hinge lightly on selected fixing area and check that the fuel flap closes without obstruction. 5. Press Fuel Checker firmly to adhere permanently to the fixing area. 6. If obstruction occurs, repeat step 4 and 5 above until satisfed. An extra adhesive pad is supplied. | |

Using the Fuel Checker1. Press the bottom two inches of the fuel nozzle into the jaws of the Fuel Checker. Please ensure only the SIDE OF THE FUEL NOZZLE enters the jaws of the Fuel Checker (see illustration). 2. The Fuel Checker will display coloured lights: FLASHING RED LIGHTS indicate you have inserted the incorrect nozzle. STOP you are about to misfuel. SOLID GREEN LIGHTS indicate it is OK to continue flling up. | | It really is that simple! Never misfuel again. Click here to return to the homepage.
